The enduring mission of Atlanta Healing Community is to connect individuals, organizations, and resources to meet the physiological, educational, and cultural needs of children in impoverished communities in Atlanta, across the state of Georgia, and throughout the Southeastern United States.
How would you feel if you were displaced, with no stable home and no one to protect, encourage, or support you?
Many of the children in foster care come from minority backgrounds and are victims of a series of foster care placements and experiences. This repeated movement not only separates siblings, but often crosses multiple county lines and cultures. Without the extended support of a family, children in foster care face enormous challenges in building successful lives.
